Qatar emir not attending annual Gulf summit in Saudi Arabia

The Qatar News Agency said that Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani is instead sending Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Thani to head Qatar’s delegation to the Gulf Cooperation Council meeting. The GCC is a bloc composed of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
