Germany is pleading with Canada to send back a Russian gas turbine that was in Canada for repairs and was trapped by sanctions. Germany depends on Russian gas. Russia has cut supplies and won’t restore them without the turbine. But Ukraine is also pushing Canada to say no and uphold its sanctions.
