Even as pandemic restrictions start to loosen, Ontario hospitals are grappling to deal with long wait lists for surgeries put on hold to free up space for COVID-19 patients. There’s also growing frustration among people waiting for procedures, including one who says she wakes up in pain every day and another who feels like she’s in “purgatory.”
